“Balloon and Seed” is about my journey to becoming a mother for the first time. Past trauma left me feeling alone and untethered most of my adult life, but becoming a mother changed that. In a floating sea of yellow, a large oblong form changes shape as it is held by smaller shape(s) below.
This support and connection help them both. Now, the balloon will not float away, and the seed has something to reach toward.
This is your reminder that there can be peace after pain.
